Veiled Intentions

When you learn something new and feel so emotionally excited to share it, you can't help but tell others, hoping they'll finally understand what you've been dealing with. You thought they would share your excitement and relief at finally having an explanation. But instead, you find yourself having to defend your intentions, as if you're using this newfound understanding as an excuse.

You've spent your entire life struggling with something you couldn't name, and now that it all starts to make sense, you just want to share that clarity. You hoped they would feel relieved too, understanding that this isn't about making excuses but about making sense of your experiences. Yet, it feels like you're being misunderstood, as if you're asking too much or expecting too much from them.

It makes me feel incredibly low and disappointed when I am left to defend my intentions. It hurts deeply to be misunderstood. It's incredible how your excitement can be taken as selfish. Alright.
