A Marvel Insider's Reading List

So... this happened.

For a lifelong fan like me, having my personal comic book reading list published on Marvel.com and the Marvel Unlimited app feels completely surreal. Pinch-me level surreal.

A huge thank you to everyone at Team Marvel, especially the incredible creatives who’ve given us so many stories that have allowed us to reflect, learn, and deeply connect. These comics have done more than just entertain me; they’ve genuinely shaped how I see the world and have helped me understand myself better along the way.

Picking these comics was a personal journey. I started with Ms. Marvel (2014) #1. As a Pakistani in America, seeing Kamala navigate her identity, faith, and family felt like seeing my own experiences reflected in those panels. The impact of that era of diverse storytelling on immigrant kids like me, who often felt like outsiders, was immense.

It was a challenge to narrow it down to just eight for the list on Marvel.com. Honestly, I could have easily named many more.

Right now, I'm just letting this incredible feeling sink in. It's a dream come true to have my reading list and thoughts become a part of the Marvel universe. That means the world to me. And with this dream now a reality, I have a few more I'm quietly hoping for. We'll see what the future holds.

I'd love to hear what you think after you've had a look! What comics would make it onto your personal Marvel reading list?

Oh and here's the list:
